Greetings,
My name is Jordan Haemor, my students know me as Mr. Mora. I teach 9th grade Biology at a diverse charter school where learners bring a wide range of experiences, backgrounds, and access to technology. My teaching philosophy focuses on digital equity; I design lessons and learning experiences that ensure all students can participate meaningfully. This includes offering multiple ways to access content, regardless of their resources or learning needs by incorporating assistive and collaborative digital tools, and promoting digital citizenship so students feel empowered to use technology responsibly and creatively as learners and future innovators.
The photos included here highlight how this philosophy comes to life in my classroom. They showcase students learning to fly drones as part of inquiry based exploration, students using technology to collaborate and compete in the academic decathlon, and students developing foundational coding skills to take flight. Each activity reflects my commitment to providing equitable, hands-on access to technology that builds curiosity, confidence, and real-world problem-solving skills.
